Dynamaxx MLM Compensation Plan Review

Introduction to Dynamaxx MLM Compensation Plan

Welcome back to Notebook Crazy.  If this is your first time here, allow me to introduce myself and my blog.  My name is Brad, I live in the Midwest, and I have had my own business for eight years.  In these eight years, I have tried my hand at more than a few multilevel marketing (MLM) business opportunities.  Now that my business has become successful enough for me to have some free time to write, I have decided to reviews as many different MLM business opportunities as I can, so that you can decide which ones to approach with caution and which ones not to touch with a ten-foot pole.  Today, you have arrived just in time for my Dynamaxx review.  Dynamaxx is an MLM company that sells nutraceutical products, which is already a strike against it in my book, but let’s look at Dynamaxx in more detail.

Dynamaxx: The Company and Its Products

For the most part, the Dynamaxx products are centered around weight loss, so you can expect meal replacement shakes, appetite suppressants, and such.  Perhaps the most interesting Dynamaxx products are Dynamaxx Lights ON and Dynamaxx Lights Off, which are powders that you add to water with the hope that they will help you remain alert or sleep well, respectively.  The Dynamaxx Lights ON ingredient list reads like an attendance roster at the Miss Super-Fruit beauty pageant.  Our old friends goji berry, acai, and resveratrol (the stuff in red wine that allegedly makes you healthy while leaving you too sober to enjoy your good health), and even wild bilberry.  While researching this Dynamaxx review of mine, I learned that the bilberry is the Old World cousin of the blueberry.  It looks like a blueberry, but even darker.  It is an ingredient in some Scandinavian desserts.  Move over, gorgeous super-fruits of the world.  Here comes Miss Scandinavia.

Meanwhile, Dynamaxx Lights Off is meant to be ingested an hour before you plan to go to sleep and is designed to help you sleep through the night and wake up feeling refreshed.  Some of its ingredients are so tame, you can buy them at the supermarket like chamomile, while others have an edgier reputation, like melatonin.  When I read that Dynamaxx Lights Off contains melatonin, I was reminded of an article I read a few years ago, in which a freelance writer named Deepthi (I think), who was naturally a night owl (what freelance writer isn’t?)  did an experiment in which she tried to reset her circadian rhythms, and melatonin was the main ingredient.  The experiment also required Deepthi to get up at 7:00 in the morning and go for a walk, and starting at 7:00 every evening, she had to wear special sunglasses that would stop the indoor lights from convincing her brain that it was still daytime.  By the end of the experiment, she had transformed into her alter ego, whom she called “Mel”, but by the time it was finished, she was happy to go back to her old nocturnal self.

Oh, and there is an herbal cleanse with aloe as one of its active ingredients.  Move over, Forever Living.  It looks like another multilevel marketing (MLM) company has discovered your flagship ingredient.

The Dynamaxx Compensation Plan

The Dynamaxx compensation plan includes six different ways that Dynamaxx associates can earn money:

  • Customer profits – On the sale of most products, whether at retail prices or at preferred customer (a euphemism for “autoship”) prices, Dynamaxx associates can expect to earn a profit of around 20% to 25%, depending on the product.
  • Fast Start Bonus – You can earn this $100 bonus if, within 14 days of enrolling as a Dynamaxx associate, you recruit two new Dynamaxx associates. These will be the basis of the “right leg” and the “left leg” of your downline sales team.  If each of your new recruits manages to recruit two new Dynamaxx associates within his or her first 14 days as a Dynamaxx associate, you get a $300 bonus.
  • First Order Bonus – If one of the new Dynamaxx associates you recruit purchases an Initial Enrollment Product Package, you get a commission of between $25 and $100, depending on which package your recruit buys.
  • Dual Team Commission – This is a commission paid based on (you guessed it), whichever of the two legs of your downline team has sold less merchandise.
  • MAXX Matching Bonuses – This bonus is a percentage of the sales of your downline team, up to seven levels. That means that, if Adam recruits Bob, Bob recruits Candace, Candace recruits Deirdre, Deirdre recruits Edwin, Edwin recruits Fareed, Fareed recruits Grover, and Grover recruits Harper, Adam gets a bonus equal to 25% of Bob’s sales, 20% of Candace’s, 15% of Deirdre’s, 10% of Edwin’s, 5% of Fareed’s, 5% of Grover’s, and 20% of Harper’s.
  • MAXX Leadership Rewards and Bonuses- These are the perks reserved for the higher levels of leadership, including the luxury allowances, bonus pools, and even one-time bonuses (really big bonuses, ranging from $50,000 to $250,000) for achieving the highest leadership ranks in the company. Dynamaxx will pay qualify associates $2,000 per month toward a Dynamaxx-approved black Mercedes-Benz, $3,000 per month toward travel, and $1,000 per month toward travel.

These are the levels of the Dynamaxx compensation plan.  Be warned; they have very boring names.

  • Associate- This is the entry level of the Dynamaxx compensation plan. It costs $59 to enroll, and at this rank, your compensation consists of profits from the sale of Dynamaxx products.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages

  • Even though the Dynamaxx compensation plan involves a binary team structure, which is second only to home sales parties (quadruple crown diamond barf), its compensation plan document is the only MLM compensation plan document that gives names to hypothetical downline team members. It names your first two recruits Bob and Mary, but it doesn’t name any of the others.  That is a small fraction of the hypothetical downline team members we have named here on Notebook Crazy.  In comparison, the Dynamaxx compensation plan makes Notebook Crazy look like a baby name book, but most MLM compensation plan documents do not name any downline members at all, so it’s a start.
  • You can set up a website to sell Dynamaxx products, so you are not entirely dependent on your warm market.
  • All the Dynamaxx reviews I have read agree that Dynamaxx Lights ON tastes pretty good.
  • If you are the kind of person who loves bullet points, this Dynamaxx review of mine has more than enough for you to get your fix. You’re welcome.

Disadvantages

  • Even though the Dynamaxx compensation plan was kind enough to assign names to Bob and Mary, a binary downline model is still a binary downline model, which is still one of my least favorite parts of the MLM industry.
  • I’m not wild about nutraceuticals, no matter which way you spin it.
  • Wouldn’t it be nice if a company paid for your health insurance even if you were not the sort of employee who spent $3,000 per month on luxury business travel?
  • Who has ever heard of an International Vice President? That sounds like something my brother and I would appoint ourselves when having a pretend war in our back yard when we were in elementary school?

Conclusion

I have to hand it to Dynamaxx for having an easily accessible compensation plan document with easy to read tables.  Those bonuses and benefits at the highest levels of leadership really do sound nice, but I have enough experience with the MLM industry that I know how slim the chances are of anyone getting to them.  I once read that only 2.4% of the people enrolled in any MLM business opportunity at any given time are making enough money at it to replace a full time income.  I have said many times before on this blog that a nutraceutical would have to be really special for me to recommend it, and there just isn’t anything that special about Dynamaxx.  I just think that you already know that your relatives and co-workers do not want to buy any more meal replacement shakes and nutritional powders from you, and strangers are not going to buy them from your website.  If you want to be able to afford a luxury car, you are better off sticking to the old fashioned way of eating Ramen noodles for one meal a day and filling your spare time with gigs until the money adds up.

Whether you are a night owl or the kind of person who naturally gets up early, I am ready to talk to you any time about how to make your home-based business profitable.  Schedule a call with me today.
