Introduction to Ludaxx MLM Compensation Plan

Hey, everyone.  Welcome back to Notebook Crazy.  You have arrived just in time for my Ludaxx review.

Ludaxx: The Company and Its Products

If you have ever read Notebook Crazy before, then you know that there are a whole lot of multilevel marketing (MLM) companies out there that have names that refer to nothing in particular, and when I first saw the name “Ludaxx”, I incorrectly assumed that this was another one of such companies, but I was wrong.  I only had to read one Ludaxx review to find out that Lu is the family name of the family that founded the company, D and A stand for the first names of the Lu brothers Daniel and Andrew, an XX stands for the sugar blocking mechanism of the flagship Ludaxx products.  (The explanation for the two X’s is a little less clear than the rest of the name, but I know it has something to do with Ludaxx products, and in any case, the etymology of Ludaxx is a huge improvement over the etymologies of most other MLM companies, which are usually based on absolutely nothing.)

Oh, but it gets better.  If you have ever read Notebook Crazy, you also know that I am a sucker for MLM origin stories, and after reading just a few Ludaxx reviews, I got a pretty clear understanding of the Ludaxx origin story.  Ludaxx was founded in 2010 in Utah, which is easily one of the top five states where MLM companies tend to originate, but the story begins long before then.  From 1968 to 1981, most of the rural population of China was served by “barefoot doctors”, young people, usually from the cities, who were trained to provide basic medical care to underserved areas, while also doing farm work alongside the local population.  (The barefoot doctor program ended when the health system in China was privatized.)  The Chinese government instituted the barefoot doctor program in order to provide healthcare to the large segments of the population who did not have it, but another aspect of the program was that it was part of the Cultural Revolution; it was meant to instill communist values in the young people who participated in it, so that they would not be overly influenced by the bourgeois ideas of the medical establishment, which included many doctors who had been educated in the West.  A barefoot doctor was usually the only medical professional in his village; his duties included providing primary care for minor illnesses as well as preventive medicine.  While the training of barefoot doctors did not approach a complete medical school education by any means, it did encompass elements of Western medicine as well as traditional Chinese medicine, such as acupuncture and the use of herbs.  About one out of every five barefoot doctors went on to get degrees in medicine and work as physicians in the cities after completing their term of work as barefoot doctors, and the others went into other professions.

One former barefoot doctor, Jimmy Lu, immigrated to the United States and eventually founded the Ludaxx nutritional supplement company with his sons Daniel and Andrew.  The Ludaxx products that are currently sold out of the company’s headquarters in Europe have a different focus, however, from what Jimmy Lu probably experienced when working as a barefoot doctor in rural China.  The core Ludaxx products, the F21 product line, are “sugar blockers”, designed to inhibit the absorption of sugar.  Whereas the MLM industry is truly saturated with basic multivitamins and products that come with outrageous claims about what they can do for your immune system or your cytoplasm or whatever else, Ludaxx is the only MLM company I know of that makes products specifically to block the absorption of sugar.  I would imagine that there is a market out there for such things.  I know how I feel about garlic knots, and I imagine that such carbohydrate-rich foods are the culprit for almost every dude who hesitates to get on the scale and almost every wife who no longer fits into her wedding dress.  I read one Ludaxx review that took the form of a dieter’s diary, including the days when she took F21.  She described it as always making her feel full, and she said that it completely destroyed her appetite for sweets, bread, and all the other carbs that make life enjoyable.

There are some other Ludaxx products, too.  There is Pearl, a vitamin pill that is rich in antioxidants, and there is also an herbal tea, but the sugar blockers are the Ludaxx products that really stand out from the crowd.

The Ludaxx Compensation Plan

Lots of MLMs have different options for which kind of business kit you can start with, and these vary in price, but the Ludaxx compensation plan gives you the option of business starter kits ranging from the KonLi Promotion Package for $36 to the Emerald Business Builder Package for $1016.  The most straightforward way to make money with the Ludaxx compensation plan is to buy Ludaxx products at wholesale prices and sell them at retail prices.  After that, the complicated MLM stuff comes into play.  Behold the Fast Start Bonus, a bonus you get every time someone new becomes a Ludaxx distributor by buying a business starter kit from you.  Here is how the Fast Start Bonus works.  Adam recruits Byron, Byron recruits Christophe, and Christophe recruits Darius.  Darius begins his Ludaxx career by purchasing a KonLi Promotion Package for $36.  Christophe gets $9 (25% of the price of the business starter kit) as a bonus for having recruited Darius.  Meanwhile, Byron gets $3.60 (10% of the price of the business starter kit) as a bonus for having recruited Christophe, who recruited Darius, and Adam also gets $3.60 (25% of the price of the business starter kit) for having recruited Darius.  Then Darius recruits Edgar, who for some reason buys an Emerald Business Builder Package for $1016, which entitles Darius to a whopping $254, while Christophe and Byron each get $101.60.

These are the perks of each of the leadership levels of the Ludaxx compensation plan, along with the requirements for reaching each level.

  • Crown Distributor – Your personal sales volume must be at least 50. You get a 5% commission on two levels of downline sales.  (When Adam is at the Crown Distributor rank, he gets a 5% commission of sales made by Byron and Christophe.)
  • Sapphire Crown – Your personal sales volume must be at least 50, and your combined downline team sales volume must be 1,000. You get a 5% commission on three levels of downline sales.  To reach this rank, you must have signed up three autoship customers or your downline must contain three Crown Distributors.
  • Ruby Crown – Your personal sales volume must be at least 50, and your combined downline team sales volume must be 5,000. You get a 5% commission on four levels of downline sales.  To reach this rank, you must have signed up three autoship customers or your downline must contain three Crown Distributors.
  • Emerald Crown – Your personal sales volume must be at least 50, and your combined downline team sales volume must be 10,000. You get a 5% commission on five levels of downline sales.  To reach this rank, you must have signed up three autoship customers or your downline must contain three Crown Distributors.
  • Crown Diamond- Your personal sales volume must be at least 100, and your combined downline team sales volume must be 20,000. You get a 5% commission on six levels of downline sales.  To reach this rank, you must have signed up four autoship customers or your downline must contain four Crown Distributors.  Additionally, your downline team must contain at least three different “legs”.  (That means that, in addition to recruiting Byron, Adam must also recruit Felipe and George.)
  • Crown Double Diamond – Your personal sales volume must be at least 100, and your combined downline team sales volume must be 50,000. You get a 5% commission on all levels of downline sales.  To reach this rank, you must have signed up four autoship customers or your downline must contain four Crown Distributors.  Additionally, your downline team must contain at least three different “legs”.  (The “all levels of downline” thing is pretty nice, because once Adam reaches the Crown Double Diamond level, if Edgar recruits Heidi, Heidi recruits Isaiah, Isaiah recruits Julius, Julius recruits Kristen, and Kristen recruits Lewis, then Adam gets commissions on all of their sales.)
  • Crown Triple Diamond – Your personal sales volume must be at least 100, and your combined downline team sales volume must be 100,000. You get a 5% commission on all levels of downline sales.  To reach this rank, you must have signed up five autoship customers or your downline must contain five Crown Distributors.  Additionally, your downline team must contain at least three different “legs”.
  • Silver Crown Triple Diamond – Your personal sales volume must be at least 100, and your combined downline team sales volume must be 250,000. You get a 5% commission on all levels of downline sales.  To reach this rank, you must have signed up five autoship customers or your downline must contain five Crown Distributors.  Additionally, your downline team must contain at least four different “legs”.
  • Gold Crown Triple Diamond – Your personal sales volume must be at least 100, and your combined downline team sales volume must be 500,000. You get a 5% commission on all levels of downline sales.  To reach this rank, you must have signed up six autoship customers or your downline must contain six Crown Distributors.  Additionally, your downline team must contain at least four different “legs”.
  • Platinum Crown Triple Diamond – Your personal sales volume must be at least 100, and your combined downline team sales volume must be 1,000,000. You get a 5% commission on all levels of downline sales.  To reach this rank, you must have signed up seven autoship customers or your downline must contain seven Crown Distributors.  Additionally, your downline team must contain at least four different “legs”.

Then there are the bonus pools and the bonuses for members of your downline increasing their leadership rank.  The bad news about the Ludaxx compensation plan is that, once you get to the Crown Diamond level, there are rules about what percentage of your group sales volume has to come from which leg in order for it to count towards commissions and bonuses.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages

  • Taking sugar blockers does not sound like a pleasant experience, but carbs are a stumbling block for almost everyone (I would deny it, but garlic knot bellies don’t lie), and I am sure there are people out there who are desperate enough to try sugar blockers.

Disadvantages

  • I’m not crazy about the idea of limits on how much sales volume can be counted from which leg of downline, as happens in the Ludaxx compensation plan and so many other MLM compensation plans.
  • Carbs have laid everyone low, regardless of socioeconomic status, but no MLM nutritional supplements, not even sugar blockers, constitute a recession proof business opportunity.

Conclusion

There are so many MLM companies that sell nothing but spin, or else nothing but plain old multivitamins wrapped in spin, that it is refreshing to find an MLM company that not only can clearly state what its products do, but which also has a coherent origin story and a name that makes sense.  I do not, by any means, think that the Ludaxx business opportunity will be your ticket to financial freedom, but for the reasons stated above, it seems more upstanding than a lot of other MLM companies.  As with Healthy Headie, so with Ludaxx.  Ludaxx will probably never have me as a customer (I enjoy my garlic knots too much), but it does have my respect.
