Introduction to Skinny Body Care MLM Compensation Plan
Asparagus has dietary fiber. Broccoli has dietary fiber. Chickpeas have dietary fiber. Dandelion greens have dietary fiber. (Whether you consider them a weed or a vegetable, you must admit that they have dietary fiber.) Edamame has dietary fiber. Fuji apples have dietary fiber. Grapefruit has dietary fiber. Horseradish has dietary fiber. (At least, when you eat the whole radish, it has substantial amounts of dietary fiber. If you click around on this site long enough, you are sure to run into some of my accounts of eating whole horseradishes at Oktoberfest.) Injera has dietary fiber. Jalapeno peppers have dietary fiber. Kimchi has dietary fiber. Lentils have dietary fiber. Mushrooms have dietary fiber. (Do not get me started on my love hate relationship with edible fungi.) Nori has dietary fiber. Olives have dietary fiber. Pears have dietary fiber. Quinoa has dietary fiber. Raspberries have dietary fiber. Sunflower seeds have dietary fiber. Taro has dietary fiber. Ugli fruit has dietary fiber. (At Whole Foods, ugli fruit goes by the name uniq fruit, perhaps based on the belief that all fruits are beautiful, or maybe so that, when one or another multilevel marketing company started to tout the ugli fruit as a superfood, it wil not get automatically disqualified from the super-fruit beauty pageant.) Valencia oranges have dietary fiber. Watercress has dietary fiber. Xanthippe artichokes have dietary fiber. Yams have dietary fiber. Zucchini has dietary fiber.
Okay, I just made up Xanthippe artichokes, but they sounded more convincing and like less of a cop out than any of the other X fruits I found. I found out that Xigua is another name for the watermelon, and that “xylocarp” refers to any fruit with a hard shell, such as a coconut, but by the time I found these things out, I really had my heart set on the Xanthippe artichoke. I am sure that, if there really were such a thing as a Xanthippe artichoke, it would have plenty of dietary fiber, and if, by chance, you arrived at this site because you were clicking around online looking for a name for your indie rock band, I assure you that you will not find a better name than The Xanthippe Artichoke. You’re welcome.
The reason that I have chosen to begin my Skinny Body Care review with an alphabetical listing of foods that contain dietary fiber is that Skinny Body Care is a multilevel marketing (MLM) company that sells dietary supplements, and I have reviewed enough nutraceutical MLMs to see through all of their claims that the products they offer are superior to anything already on the market. The one thing that the writers off all the Skinny Body Care reviews I read while researching my own Skinny Body Care review agree on is that Skinny Body Care products have a lot of dietary fiber, but if you think that means that it will be easy to convince the people around you to buy Skinny Body Care products or to join the Skinny Body Care business opportunity, let the first paragraph of this Skinny Body Care review serve as a reality check.
Skinny Body Care: The Company and Its Products
It did not take a lot of detective work on my part to find out where the Skinny Body Care business opportunity got its name. Skinny Body Care products are nutritional supplements designed to help people lose weight. The Skinny Body Care website devotes a lot of space to the fact that Skinny Body Care products contain digestive enzymes that help with weight loss, but there is little evidence that taking digestive enzymes in supplement form will help you lose weight. In fact, your stomach will digest the digestive enzymes as soon as you swallow them, before they ever have a chance to help you lose weight. It is the same fallacy as the alkaline water fallacy. Drinking alkaline water will not help you lose weight, because it will immediately stop being alkaline when it comes into contact with your stomach.
If there is an ingredient in Skinny Body Care products that actually does help you lose weight, it is dietary fiber. There are various interpretations of why eating foods with dietary fiber can help you lose weight. First, foods with dietary fiber have a low glycemic index; they do not raise your blood sugar the way that sugars and refined starches do. Second, dietary fiber makes you feel full. When you eat foods with dietary fiber, you end up eating less food because you get full more quickly. Again, I do not claim to be an expert on nutrition, but even I have heard of people eating high fiber diets in order to lose weight. I am really just shooting from the hip, here.
The source of the dietary fiber in Skinny Body Care products is the closest thing to a flagship ingredient that the Skinny Body Care business opportunity has. The source of the dietary fiber in Skinny Body Care products comes from a plant known variously as konjac, devil’s tongue, elephant yam, konnyaku potato, snake palm, and voodoo lily. The plant produces an edible, starchy tuber and has enormous, spiky, purple flowers that are quite impressive to behold. Konjac root has many uses in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisines. Its root can be sliced thinly and eaten as a vegan sashimi. The root can be ground into flour, and that flour can be made into noodles. Konjac root flour can also be made into a type of jelly that can be used to make sweets or to make vegan gelatin. Because konjac root jelly does not automatically dissolve in the mouth like animal gelatin or like jellies made from fruit pectin, it can be a choking hazard.
The Skinny Body Care Compensation Plan
The leadership levels in the Skinny Body Care compensation plan are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Crown Diamond, and Royal Crown Diamond. Those are pretty dull leadership rank names if you ask me. I would suggest different names for the leadership ranks in the Skinny Body Care compensation plan, but frankly, after thinking of a dietary fiber-rich food for every letter of the alphabet, I am out of ideas. It took a lot more work to come up with a food that is rich in dietary fiber for every letter of the alphabet than it did to come up with a salty food for every letter of the alphabet, as I did in another MLM review on this site, which should tell you something about where my food preferences lie.
When you first join the Skinny Body Care business opportunity as an unranked member, you can get commissions based on sales made by three levels of your downline sales team. Skinny Body Care distributors who have reached the Bronze rank can get commissions of sales of Skinny Body Care products made by four levels of downline. At the Silver level, you can get commissions on sales made by five levels of downline. At the Gold level, you can get commissions on sales made by six levels of downline. At the Platinum level, you can get commissions on sales made by seven levels of downline. At the Diamond level, you can get commissions on sales made by eight levels of downline. At the Crown Diamond level, you can get commissions on sales made by nine levels of downline. At the Royal Crown Diamond level, you can get commissions on sales made by ten levels of downline. If this sounds impressive, keep in mind how difficult it is to recruit three, let alone ten, levels of downline distributors.
One of the most interesting parts of the Skinny Body Care compensation plan document is the part about the Rank Achievement bonuses. These are cash bonuses that you get when you meet the requirements for your rank (Gold or higher) for three consecutive months. Instead of just telling you how much money you get for these bonuses (in the rare event that anyone actually qualifies for them), the Skinny Body Care compensation plan gives you a suggestion of what you can sped the bonus on. For example, the Rank Achievement Bonus for the Gold level is $250, and the Skinny Body Care compensation plan recommends that you spend it on a Camcorder. (When was the last time someone you know bought a Camcorder?) At the Platinum level, the bonus is $1,000, which the Skinny Body Care compensation plan says is enough for a Toshiba Laptop Computer. At the Diamond level, the bonus is $1,000, enough for a vacation to Hawaii. At the Crown Diamond Level, the bonus is $25,000, enough to buy an Acura TL. At the Royal Crown Diamond Level, it is $100,000, enough to buy a Mercedes Benz S Class. If you manage to do so well in the Skinny Body Care business opportunity that you end up with three legs of downline, each containing a distributor who has reached the Royal Crown Diamond level, you get a bonus of $300,000, which the Skinny Body Care compensation plan suggests that you spend on a dream house. Am I the only one who notices that MLM compensation plan documents never recommend that you put your bonus money into savings or use the money to pay off debts?
Advantages and Disadvantages
- The name “voodoo lily” has quite a nice ring to it. I still hold that, if I ever decide to become an Internet troll, my screen name will be Dirty Dalton, but if Dirty Dalton ever gets banned, I may name my next Internet troll persona Voodoo Lily.
- I learned a lot of interesting things while reading about foods rich in dietary fiber in order to prepare to write this Skinny Body Care review. I even found a vegan website that recommended a kiwi fruit toss as a vegan alternative to an egg toss. Though entertaining, that vegan website did not help me find a vegetable that begins with X, so Xanthippe artichokes it is.
- I quite like the color scheme of the Skinny Body Care compensation plan document on the Skinny Body Care website. I can best describe the color scheme as magenta and aqua blue. Although both of those colors as strongly associated with the fashions of the 1980s, I rarely see them together.
- It takes some chutzpah to try to convince people that they need to buy something called Skinny Body Care.
- I have to agree with the interpretation given by Eddy with a Y in his Skinny Body Care review on the blog Work at Home No Scams, that the Skinny Body Care compensation plan is unnecessarily complicated and confusing. Eddy also says, and I also agree, that this problem is not unique to the Skinny Body Care compensation plan, but is quite widespread in the MLM industry in general.
- Now here comes my soapbox. Nutraceutical MLMs are not the way to make money. If you join the Skinny Body Care business opportunity, you will end up with a mountain of credit card debt and a basement full of dietary fiber. I hope it keeps you full, because it will be the only thing you will be able to afford to eat for some time.
Ugli is in the eye of the beholder, and it really is a matter of opinion what the best source of dietary fiber is. You came to this site in search of my opinion, though, so I will give it to you. If your goal is to improve your financial situation and to fill your neighbors’ bellies with dietary fiber, there are far less expensive and less frustrating ways to do it than through the Skinny Body Care business opportunity.
Even after reading all of this, are you still convinced that you want to join the Skinny Body Care business opportunity? If you are, I have some Xanthippe artichokes I would love to sell you. Schedule a call with me, and get your Xanthippe artichokes before everyone else does.
